We’ve written before about how we’re so blessed to have raving, loyal fans, and customers who keep coming back to us again and again and again. If you’ve never used us, you might be wondering why people love us so much. We’re branching over into the Frisco area now, so those of you in Frisco may have seen us and be wondering what we’re all about.
We take a lot of pride in the fact that there are so many automotive shops to choose from, and people continue to trust their vehicles with us! If you think about it, you have to drive by something like 10 or even 20 auto repair places before you even get to us. So why do we have this great relationship with our customers, that they keep driving until they get to our shop?
One reason is that we’re a “boutique” shop. That means we’re not one of the big guys. A big, chain shop is fine. They can do what you need. But in a big shop, you run the risk of being just another customer. We are large enough to take care of the McKinney, Frisco, Little Elm, Allen, Prosper areas, but we’re also small enough to build personal relationships with our customers so that you’re never just a number to us.
Here are three reasons why people keep driving until they get to our shop:
- We know your name. We know many of our customers by name. When you call, we know who you are. Our customers love that we’re on a first-name basis with each other. You’re never just a number or a sale.
- You know our names. This goes both ways. When you come in you know Joe, you know Kevin, you know Steve. And now you know Jay. So we know you as our customers, but you know the guys working on your car on a first name basis as well!
Why is this important? At the end of the day, no one wants to deal with car trouble. No one wants to wake up and get breakfast, get the kids ready, get in the car, and have something not working—the car won’t start, the tires are flat, whatever the issue. So it’s comforting to know that there are people you can count on and talk to, and build a relationship with, and who know your car.
Even when there’s nothing wrong with your car, even when it’s not broken, you know you can get recommendations from Kevin, from Joe, from someone you know.
- Vendor relationships. We also have very good relationships with our vendors, from our parts guys to the people who take care of our uniforms and our business cards. We want to treat our vendors as well as we treat our customers because at the end of the day they’re the people who help us take care of our customers. So we build strong relationships with our vendors as well. We know them by name, they know us by name, and we have a lot of great rapport within the community.
