We’ve officially sprung forward! We have more daylight in the evening, and temperatures are getting warmer! We thought this would be a great time to give you some tips on how to keep your vehicle in tip-top shape throughout the spring.
1. Get your oil changed.
If you’ve been following our blog for awhile, you knew we were going to say this! Oil change, oil change, oil change! So many people put this off, feeling like they don’t have time to get it done. We really recommend that you make time! We are open on Saturdays if that’s more convenient for you. We can also do pick-up and drop-offs! It’s just so important to stay on top of vehicle maintenance like this. Plus, while we do your oil change we will give your vehicle a 25-point inspection to see if there are any other issues that need to be taken care of or brought to your attention. (We don’t do this to upsell you. We want you to know what’s going on with your vehicle.)
2. Check your tires.
Spring is a time for road trips! Maybe you took a road trip for spring break and put a lot of wear and tear on your tires. Maybe you haven’t gotten an alignment in a while. Take a few minutes to take a look at your tires, check the tread on them, check the tire pressure, etc. You want to make sure that you’re riding on safe tires, so check them out before and after a trip!
Plus, don’t forget that there’s a lot of construction going on all over the Metroplex, and it’s easy to run over a nail or some construction debris and damage your tires. Be careful!
3. Check your A/C.
This is the time you want to get your car’s air conditioning checked out before it gets hot! Right now we can drive around with the windows down, or with the top down, and everything is great. But we know what’s coming! We know summer in Texas is brutal. The last thing you want to do is find out in June or July that your A/C has some issues. We offer A/C checks right here in our shop, so come take advantage of that!
We hope you have a wonderful spring. See you soon!
